why mak series?

'MAK' comes from my name, Molanie A. K., with 'Mo' being short for Molanie (it’s similiar to Melanie, but it’s pronounced with an ‘o’ instead of an ‘e’, giving you ‘mo-luh-knee). 'Series' reflects my passion for various art styles that I create, thus resulting in the birth of MAK SERIES!

I've always been drawn to art since I was young. Anything creative captivated me, and I've been pursuing my love for art since then. I took some art classes in high school and community college, but I discovered my own unique art style more recently without any of that! In my eyes, I am my own expert as there is no one who can tell me how to create my art but me. So I am excited to share with you what the inside of my creative brain looks like.

I love my paintings because I can turn simple lines into something vibrant and dynamic by connecting and bending them, and adding different colors and layers in each piece. I achieve this by using a combination of various acrylic paints, acrylic mediums, silicone oil, and a few types of acrylic paint markers. A gloss varnish may be included. Some pieces may also include foil and/or charms.

My goal is to constantly push myself so that I can improve, grow, and be an inspiration to you.
